MediaTek’s Dimensity 9300 Core Specs Tipped: Expected to Launch this Month

MediaTek, the Taiwanese semiconductor company, will likely be unveiling the latest Dimensity 9300 chipset this month, in the month of October 2023. The chipset will be competing with Qualcomm’s upcoming Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset, and its core specifications have been tipped before its official release.

Here’s more about it.

MediaTek Dimensity 9300 – Core Specs Revealed

The update comes from the tipster – Digital Chat Station, who has tipped some of its specifications on the Chinese microblogging platform – Weibo. Earlier, the tipster had mentioned some of its other specs, and this new update follows it.

It has been revealed that the Dimensity 9300 chipset is expected to have a core configuration with 1 ARM Cortex X4 prime core, 3 ARM Cortex X4 cores, and 4 ARM Cortex A720 cores. It has also been mentioned that the prime Cortex X4 core might be clocked at 3.25 GHz, but this might be subject to change. Moreover, the chipset may also be integrated with the Immortalis G720 MC12 GPU as well.

If we look into the previous update from the tipster, the other 3 ARM Cortex X4 cores might be having a clock speed of 3.0 GHz, and the base ARM Cortex A720 cores would probably be clocked at 2.0 GHz. The chipset was also said to support LPDDR5T RAM, with a speed of 9.6 Gbps.

MediaTek’s Dimensity 9300 chipset was also stated to be made using TSMC’s N4P process technology, and the Cortex X4 cores are suggested to offer 15% better performance, and a 40% reduction in the case of power consumption, whereas the Cortex A720 cores is assumed to have a 20% increase in energy efficiency.

To add, just like MediaTek, Qualcomm is also expected to officially unveil its latest Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset this month, and the tipster notes that he himself had witnessed that on the AnTuTu V10 benchmark, both in terms of the CPU and GPU performance, the MediaTek Dimensity 9300 chipset was able to score better than the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset.
